I’m still not over floral prints, vests and boots.

Meet Ashley, my super cute co-worker. Would you believe she is 7 months pregnant? She is working the glow with a black knit dress, printed scarf and brown suede boots outside of our Sacramento office.
One of my new favorite things to do is wear brown boots with black stockings. For some reason (now unknown) I used to avoid mixing brown and black – but now I realize that they are just two colors and it creates a timeless, almost vintage look. If this is something you want to try you can mix in accessories which have both colors, similar to Ashley’s scarf.
Let’s give it up for hot maternity mammas!
The blog has taken a backseat to other endeavors but today I was really proud of my mostly thrift/vintage work outfit so I am sharing it with you. I know you will be jealous about how much some of these pieces actually cost.
- Ann Taylor Cardigan – $8 from Thrift Town
- Vintage knit skirt – $1 from Crimson and Clover (yes I found it in the $1 bin!)
- Vintage necklace – About $8, I forget the exact details of purchase several years ago but it’s still one of my favorites. It reminds me of grandma’s white metal furniture in the garden.
- The shoes are from a boutique in Santa Cruz and they are not thrifted. I have a really hard time finding thrift/vintage shoes that fit well and stay together but that doesn’t mean I’m going to stop looking.
Hope you enjoy and don’t shop too hard or this will happen:

Today I styled two blazer looks using Mary Wade original blazers (AKA my mom’s vintage blazers AKA FREE).
Honestly I was thinking about selling or donating them because the sleeves were too short but I saw a lot of blazers online with rolled sleeves. The denim shirt has also been in the swap pile but it works well as a layer so maybe I’ll keep it a little longer.

Stay tuned for Part II! Just bought 2 H&M blazers, each under $30.
